I am a computer technician and *nix system administrator, currently working at the National Research Council (CNR) in Italy, at the Institute of Biomedical Technologies in Bari. I develop, deploy, and manage appliances and virtual machines for use as secure servers and clients, and I design and manage horizontally/vertically scaled systems consisting of multiple processing and storage nodes for Omics data management and storage. I manage the software structure, monitoring, and security of dedicated and shared networks between aforementioned systems. I work within a team for disaster prevention and recovery. I collaborate with other institutions (University of Bari) on various projects within ELIXIR Italy and GDI/GoE.
