dei meccanismi molecolari e cellulari che governano le funzioni cellulari e tissutali in una vasta gamma di malattie e sistemi biologici. Quest'area comprende lo studio delle cellule staminali, esplorando il loro potenziale di svilupparsi in tipi cellulari specializzati e il loro ruolo nella rigenerazione e riparazione dei tessuti. Gli scienziati in questo settore sono all'avanguardia nello sviluppo di organoidi, organi tridimensionali in miniatura coltivati \u200b\u200bin laboratorio, che forniscono modelli avanzati per studiare lo sviluppo umano, la progressione delle malattie e le risposte ai farmaci in un contesto fisiologicamente pi\u00f9 rilevante. I ricercatori utilizzano inoltre approcci di riprogrammazione cellulare per indurre la conversione di cellule differenziate in uno stato pluripotente (cellule staminali pluripotenti indotte dall'uomo, iPSC), consentendo cos\u00ec la generazione di cellule specifiche per il paziente per terapie personalizzate e modelli di malattia. In questo contesto, le attivit\u00e0 di ricerca si concentrano sullo sviluppo di modelli tissutali 3D avanzati e di costrutti bioingegnerizzati per applicazioni cardiovascolari, muscolo-scheletriche, oncologiche e neurologiche.
