I obtained my Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 2005 (110/110 cum laude) and my PhD in Pharmacotoxicological, Pharmacognostic, and Pharmacological Biotechnology Sciences in 2009 at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Milan. Since 2008, I have been a permanent researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Technologies (ITB-CNR). My research focuses on clinical proteomics applied to the study of several physiological and pathological states, through the analysis of complex biological samples (cell lines, tissues, and organs) of human and animal origin. I employ high-resolution, high-speed tandem mass spectrometry, coupled with nano- and microfluidic chromatography techniques, as well as computational and systems biology approaches for the identification of altered protein biomarkers and pathways involved in rare, neurological, cardiovascular and oncological diseases

Sample preparation (cell lines, tissues, organs, biofluids, extracellular vesicles).

Proteomic analysis integrating high-resolution and high-speed mass spectrometers with micro- and/or nano-fluidic chromatography systems

Computational analysis and pipeline development for qualitative and quantitative proteome characterization, including network analysis within a systems biology approach.

Development and Optimization of High-Throughput LC‑MS Pipelines for Proteomics Research

Biomarker discovery and validation through LC‑MS–based proteomics for early diagnosis, prognosis, therapy monitoring and patient stratification in precision medicine.

Research services with advanced proteomics technologies for academia and industry, fostering technology transfer, training and open access practices
