Omics and Related Technologies

Omic research is one of the key areas of ITB’s scientific activities. Through high-throughput sequencing and platform combinations (NGS, microarray, mass spectrometry), the group aims at deciphering the complexity of genetic, regulatory, and metabolic networks in modeling biological systems, clinical human samples, and microorganisms. The institute has advanced skills in identifying rare and common genetic variants (monogenic and multifactorial diseases), bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, genomic plasticity analysis, and quantitative validation of gene and protein expression.
