I’m a Senior Researcher with background in Molecular Biotechnologies (Laurea), Bioinformatics (Laurea Magistrale) and Computer Science (PhD). My research activities focus on the analysis of “omics” data and aim at advancing our current knowledge of molecular mechanisms and disease processes in humans. I develop innovative methods and models in the domain of integrative biology, mainly using the network medicine approach. I am member of the Bioinformatics Italian Society (BITS). Keywords: bioinformatics, multi-omics data analysis, network medicine.
Research Activities
Comparative genomics and gene network analysis to infer novel genes associated with specific human traits
Development of innovative methodologies in network medicine, leveraging molecular networks and pathways for integrative data analysis
Multiomic integration to identify regulatory pathways, gene modules, protein networks, and composite signals associated with pathological phenotypes.
Development of human interactome models and null models for network-based analysis.
