Bioinformatician, Master degree in Computer Science. I’m a member of the Bari Bioinformatics group of the CNR from the 1994. My activities are mainly focused in the Research Data Management (RDM). Expert in design and development of biological database and data integration tools; expert in application of FAIR principles for data and metadata standardization. I’m expert in Data Center and Cloud/HPC management for the storage, processing and sharing of Life Science-oriented data. Competence in development of pipelines for the analysis of omics data. I’m (co)author of more than 50 papers in international journals in the field of Bioinformatics, involved in more than 20 national and international projects both as participant and as a Principal Investigator. I actively participate in: – the ELIXIR (ESFRI), the European Research Infrastructure for Life Science, the Interoperability Platform, Research Data Management Community, -the Apulia Biobanks working group constituted by AReSS-Regione Puglia, and as Local Technical Coordinator for CNR-Bari. I’m responsible of the computational infrastructure (CNR.BiOmics) of the CNR dedicated to the management, conservation and analysis of genetic data for the deployment of Bioinformatics data and applications, part of the ELIXIR-IT Compute platform.
