Research area
Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Artificial Intelligence
This area brings together researchers from bioinformatics, biotechnology, physics, computer science, engineering, and biology. It develops and applies advanced analytical techniques for Life Sciences: from single-omic to multi-omics data integration, from physics-based modeling to data-driven artificial intelligence approaches on molecular and medical imaging data, and simulation on robust High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructures.
These competencies allow ITB to successfully tackle omics-integrated projects, molecular modeling studies, precision medicine applications, and AI-based predictive analysis.
