I hold an MSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics (curriculum in Molecular and Digital Biology) from the University of Pavia, and I currently collaborate in the REGINA project (REte di Genomica Integrata per Nuove Applicazioni in medicina di precisione) at the Institute of Biomedical Technologies (ITB) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). My research combines Artificial Intelligence (AI) and genomics, with a particular focus on neurodegenerative disorders. Specifically, I integrate genomic and clinical data to develop and validate Machine Learning and Deep Learning models aimed at patient stratification, biomarker discovery, and genetic risk assessment.
I also collaborate on projects applying AI to genome editing, supporting the development of predictive models to optimize outcomes and prioritize the most promising targets.
Research Activities
Application of advanced statistical methods, machine learning, deep learning, explainable AI (XAI), and data mining for predicting pathological mechanisms, identifying disease biomarkers and supporting patient stratification.
