The study under Task 6.3, ‘The role of diet and specific foods in modulating the gut microbiota under various pathophysiological conditions’, aims to investigate the association between dietary habits and other lifestyle factors, the gut microbiota and brain imaging parameters in a sample of individuals without dementia living in Lombardy, as well as to examine the relationship between lifestyle (body mass index, smoking, sleep, perceived well-being, stress levels, anxiety, cognitive performance) and psychological and cognitive status in a population of older working adults and young-old adults.
