Cell communication

The Cell Communication Research line investigates how cells communicate in health and disease, with a focus on the roles of extracellular vesicles and subcellular organelles. It also leverages vesicle‑mediated cues to influence regeneration and disease processes in engineered 3D tissues.

Research Activities

Study of extracellular vesicles as mediators in cell communication between tumor cells and identification of biomarkers in early diagnosis and therapeutic targets in tumors

Study of subcellular organelles in autoimmune, neurodegenerative and cancer diseases

Investigation of dynamic cell–cell and cell–matrix communication , with a focus on extracellular vesicles and biomechanical cues regulating tissue regeneration and disease progression

Harnessing extracellular vesicle–mediated signaling to actively modulate regeneration, immune interactions and pathological remodeling within engineered 3D tissue models
