I am a researcher with a Ph.D. in Systems Medicine from the University of Milan and a degree in Philosophy from the University of Belgrade. I work at ITB-CNR, where I focus on developing innovative solutions in epidemiology and public health, with particular attention to knowledge integration and semantic modeling. Throughout my career, I have led international projects, collaborated with SMEs, and coordinated multidisciplinary teams to design ICT solutions applied to biomedicine and healthcare. My expertise includes study design, metadata modeling, knowledge engineering, and data standardization to promote interoperability among healthcare systems. My research interests range from decision support systems to functional analysis, from classification standards to health data management, as well as semantic technologies and strategic innovation.

Prospective population-based studies that examine how infection exposures and vaccination influence immune response and health outcomes.

Nested case-control study that analyses ‘real world data’ of the Italian National Health System (SSN) to explore the association between exposure to certain medications and onset of diseases (e.g. dementia or cancer).

Identification of risks and protective factors as to develop effective prevention strategies aimed at reducing the public health burden of diseases (e.g. RSV and SARS-CoV-2).

Evaluation of the effectiveness of a lifestyle intervention program to improve metabolic, cognitive and/or functional performance.

Lifestyle and ICT-based intervention studies in age-specific cohorts for the prevention or for the control of disease progression of neurodegenerative (dementias, Parkinson's disease) and metabolic diseases (type II diabetes, overweight/obesity, and metabolic syndrome), and functional performance (sarcopenia).
